Love me some pumpkin!

My favorite time of year is when Starbucks brings out their highly anticipated, absolutely delicious, don't know what my taste buds would do without it, Pumpkin Spice Latte! YUM!

And it might still be 90 degrees here, but in my heart its Fall...I mean even Starbucks says so. I LOVE pumpkin pie, I have a cousin that used to live right down the street from me...sadly she lives really far away now! boo!...but she used to make me the best pumpkin pies! Seriously, so good! (Miss you Jess!)

And this week as I was working, looking around blogland during my free time, I found a recipe for pumpkin soup. And I'm so excited to try it! Time to go find me a pumpkin!

Doesn't it look divine? I'm sure my taste buds will be eternally grateful!

Things that make me smile...

I don't even know where to start with this one! It is seriously, simply, AMAZING!!!

Giannetti Home

The crisp white, the marbled walls, the hood, the lighting, the stools, the wood floors, the open cabinets, the big gorgeous window...not to mention the ceiling?! And of course the best part...check out that ladder! OMG! I need one of those! How handy would that be for us short people?! Plus it looks wonderful, and adds so much to this room! This one is definitely going in the inspiration files!

H2O

Brad Paisley came to town last night! It was awesome! Such a great concert! The music was great, of course, but it was so much more than just that! Definitely a show worth seeing!

What's your mood? Sept 2010

So as my first attempt at creating a mood board, we'll call this one practice :)

I started gathering items I liked and then as I put them together realized they were kind of fitting the fall colors we love to see this time of year! So lets get started!

I think a nice rust like Behr's Boston Brick or a deep toffee, I suggest Sherwin Williams Canyon Clay, would work great on the walls in this room. Or an accent wall with either color and a light tan for the other three would be beautiful too!

I found this rug and fell in love. The colors and patterns are fun and yet neutral enough they don't take over. So in this particular space, everything revolves around the rug :)

The pillows add a great pop of color and with their awesome textures they feel inviting and interesting. The solid is a wonderful velvet and the flirty green is felt with fun petals covering it.

The couch is a soft neutral with wonderful, classic lines. I love the mocha legs and how they take away from the heaviness a sofa can sometimes create. Just imagine as it floats on top of that beautiful rug!

The coffee table is also open to the rug, but has great storage with the second shelf. The espresso finish ties in great with the couch legs.

A matching Side Table would be great in a larger room, with two side chairs for some added seating. Target has some great accent chairs, and they're even on sale! And all of the fabric choices are pretty awesome!

No living room is complete without some great Lighting!

This wall decor helped set the mood for this room. The Botanical Plates have great colors, patterns, and sizes. And these metallic Vases are beautiful.

Well there it is...my first attempt at a mood board ;) Let me know what you think!

Free Falling...

It is officially fall around here! And I'm loving it! First order of business was changing out the Scentsy :) Anyone tried their scent of the month? I think its new, called Maple Butter. Let me tell you, it is DI VINE!

I finally found a wreath I love, that was affordable...gotta love Costco!

And Target! This isn't such a great picture and I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, but how cute is this pumpkin?! I'm not big on Halloween decor, but when it looks like this I'm all over it!

You guys do anything to make your home feel like fall? Or just enjoy the great changes going on in nature?

Play or Labor?

Did you all enjoy your long weekend? Hopefully you got to play a little! I spent the weekend in Wenatchee with my family, it was awesome! It was my parents first chance to see my new car, so we spent alot of time driving and playing with the car :)

Also had to do a photo shoot with my dad and brother's cars. Here they are all shiny and smiling for the picture :)
I love Labor Day, as it symbolizes the last weekend of summer and the start of fall! Fall is my favorite season! I love the scents, the colors, the weather and the beginning of the Holiday season :)

I'm going to start making some room moodboards, hopefully I'll have the first one up this week...so check back soon!

Bubba

My brother lives about 400 miles away from where I live. He's one of my favorite people and I don't get to see him near as much as I'd like! Hopefully someday, when he's done with college, that will change :) But for now we just enjoy the time we do get to spend together! He came down to visit me last week, he had four days off in a row so decided to drive down here! Awesome! We had such a good time! We went boating and did lots of fun driving with the new car :) It was such a great few days...Love you Bubba!
